How can I become a member of the Arctic Winter Games Team Alaska Board of Directors?

The Board of Directors meets monthly via teleconference.  The annual membership meeting (open to dues-paying members) is usually held in early December. 

The Board has a nominating committee that nominates a slate of candidates each year for the four BOD positions that are up for election.  That nominating committee normally provides the slate of nominations around September or October each year.  Individuals who would like to be nominated should contact the Team Alaska office, who will forward the names of interested parties to the President and the BOD.  Interested parties may also contact any member of the Team Alaska Board of Directors.

When seats open up between elections on the Board of Directors, the Board solicits interested candidates.  Candidates submit letters of interest and resumes, and the Board of Directors elects the new Board member, who sits until the expiration of the term.
