Team Alaska's Amy Mabel Davis of Girdwood, led the team in a succesful day for our skiers in Monday's Giant Slalom Competition at the Nitehawk Ski area.  Davis earned a Gold Ulu in the Junior Womens' Giant Slalom with a combined time of 1:12.49.  Katherine Kestner and Robin Lockwood finished fifth and sixth respectively.

Matt Vandor of Juneau had the second fastest combined run time in the Junior Mens' Division to earn a Silver Ulu.  Vandor said, "I'm have a great time and enjoying the sunny weather."  Teamate Elisha Powell finished sixth and Peter Peel fell his first run and thus was not scored.

In the Junevile Womens' Giant Slalom, Team Alaska's Annika Flynn of Girdwood earned a  bronze medal while her teamates Irene Bembenek and Molly Lukes finished forth and fifth respectively.

Girdwood's Max Durtschi took the Silver Ulu for Alaska in the Juvenile Mens' Giant Slalom with a combined time of 1:10.69.  Alaska Teamate Joseph Greenough finished fith and Christopher Lindbeck came in seventh.
