The Arctic Winter Games Team Alaska Corporation is governed by a Board of Directors of up to 12 members serving staggered 3-year terms (four members elected each year).

The Board of Directors meets monthly via teleconference.  The annual membership meeting (open to dues-paying members) is usually held in early December. 

When seats open up between elections on the Board of Directors, the Board solicits interested candidates.  Candidates submit letters of interest and resumes, and the Board of Directors elects the new Board member, who sits until the expiration of the term.
