Team Alaska's Amalia Tamone of Auke Bay earned the Gold Ulu in combined Snowshoe Sprints, Juvenile Womens' Division at Evergreen Park Wendesday.  The snowshoers competed in back to back 100m, 400m, and 1500m races and the results are based on their combined times.

In the Junior Womens' Division, Emma Minge of Anchorage took the Silver and Elizabeth Whisenhant of Fairbanks took Bronze.  Whisenhant's participation at Arctic Winter Games is particulary meaningful because her late grandfather Jim Whisenhant served on Arctic Winter Games' international Board of Directors and was instrumental the development of the games and Team Alaska.
